will be hosting the 2nd annual FluMist program...
When: Fall 2009-2010 School Year
The single best way to protect against the flu is to get vaccinated each year.
The FluMist program is one that will protect the student body from the flu by providing flu vaccines during school hours.
FluMist is a nasal-spray flu vaccine made with live, weakened flu viruses that do not cause the flu.
FluMist is approved for use in healthy people 2-49 years of age who are not pregnant.
There is no charge for the FluMist vaccine if your child is eligible for the Vaccine For Children (VFC) program. Eligibility requirements fro VFC are:
Alaskan/American Native Indian
Medicaid recipient
Underinsured (Insurance does not cover vaccine)
Non-insured
For non-VFC students, there is a $20.00 charge per dose (cash or charge).
